A journey through time at the Rib Room restaurant

Vilnius has always been at the crossroads of different peoples and cultures. Culinary traditions travelled from kitchen to kitchen, from family to family, and interesting combinations and improvisations appeared. Some things have been forgotten, while some have survived to this day. Holiday Inn and the Rib Room have decided to add some dishes that everyone is familiar with to their menu… herring, zrazy and Napoleon cake… classics with a twist.

  • Grandma’s herring. A traditional starter with a special touch. Herring fillet served with butternut squash jam | red onion and apple jelly | home-made mushrooms in sour cream | sprouts and black bread crumbs. Price: 9 €
  • Radvilas’ zrazy. Old Vilnius style slow-roasted beef tenderloin roulade with dried mushroom filling served with black bread sauce | golden pearl barley | stewed mushrooms | crispy parsnip roots. Price: 25 €
  • Cake Napoleon with cranberries. A rustic puff pastry cake with a sweet vanilla cream, flavoured with a pinch of fresh cranberries. Served with cranberry caviar | rhubarb jelly. Price: 5,50 €
