23 July – 6 August: Vilnius Performance Art Biennial

Vilnius got a special gift for its 700th birthday – a new festival. The first Vilnius Performance Art Biennial focuses all of its attention on Vilnius and its residents and their stories. Lithuanian and foreign artists will appear in the city’s public places, inviting you to embark on a trip not only around popular spaces, but also parks, secluded corners or closed rooms – this is a great opportunity to get to know Vilnius artistically. Some of the pieces were created specifically for this festival and will be shown for the first time. The international event will be held every two years, so take the opportunity to see these exceptional performances.
