The solo performance “Transforman” depicts a man’s inner journey from stereotypical masculinity to self-understanding and acceptance.
What emotional and psychological barriers prevent modern men from opening up? What does it mean to be vulnerable and self-compassionate?
“A sensitive open heart may seem like a weakness to “normal” people who have simplified themselves, who have exchanged their authenticity for acceptability, in Lithuania – especially for men. Thoughts are constantly running through my head – what is normal anyway? If I’m just an empty shell, full of nothing? What’s the point of existence if I’m not in it?” – asks Marius Eidrigevicius, the creator of the performance.
